The project is located on the east side of lower malpeque road, north of trailview drive in charlottetown, pe. The work generally includes the following: decommissioning and removal of existing equipment, supply and installation of pumping equipment, process pipe works, miscellaneous metals, valves, precast concrete, forcemain, and temporary systems. Work also includes supply and installation of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and power supply modifications. Each tender shall be accompanied by Tender Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Amount Payable in evidence of the bona fide nature of the tender. This Tender Security shall be in favour of the Owner and shall be in the form of a Certified Cheque, irrevocable Letter of Credit or a Bid Bond which shall guarantee to the Owner that in the event of the successful Tenderer declining to enter into a formal agreement with the Owner as called for in the Contract Documents, or declining or neglecting to provide the Insurance or Contract Security required by the Contract Documents, then the Owner will be reimbursed the additional cost of accepting another tender or Tender Security amount, whichever is the lesser. The Contractor shall, prior to commencement of the Work, provide to the Owner a Performance Bond and a Labour and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 50% of the Estimated Amount Due. As an alternate to Performance and Labour and Material Payment Bonds, the contractor may provide security in the form of certified cheque in the amount of 10% of the tender price.
