The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) invites pre-qualification bids for R. Thomas Orr Dam Gate Repairs and Painting The successful vendor will be responsible for sandblasting, condition assessment, repairs and painting of the south sluicegate of the dam. The UTRCA will be responsible for safe removal of the gate from the dam, and its transportation to the vendor's worksite, through an independent contractor. After the sandblasting, an independent engineer will be responsible to perform a condition assessment of the gate, and provide recommendations regarding the necessary repairs. The vendor will be responsible for performing the repair and painting works. An independent firm will be required to perform quality checks, in order to ensure the quality of works for sandblasting, repairs and painting.
