Questions Due Date: Oct 18th 2024, 5:00 PM AKDT The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) requests contractors to provide materials and labor to repair the pool backwash pit at the Wasilla Pool, located at 701 E Bogard Road, Wasilla, AK 99654. The coating and plumbing drain system on the existing pit has failed and is leaking. The backwash pit is located in the equipment room of the pool which is on the ground floor at the rear of the facility. This unit is utilized twice a week and is critical to the functionality of the pool. Architects Alaska has designed a repair fix that is attached to the bid documents. Provide materials and labor to remove the existing coating of the pit and patch the concrete cracks. Pull the floor drain and install a new assembly. Replace the bottom drain piping in the Wasilla High School women's dressing room and recoat the pit interior floor and walls with the materials specified in the Plans and Specifications (Attachment #1). The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Repairs to the existing Wasilla Swimming Pool Facility including, but not limited to the following: a. Repair and replace finishes of the existing backwash pit. b. Removal and replacement of the existing floor drain and associated piping at the backwash pit. c. Removal and replacement of existing floor access hatch at the swimming pool.
