Renovation of a multi-residential development in Danville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Housing Authority of Montour County will receive sealed bids from bona fide General Construction contract bidders for the following construction work: Provide and install new finishes on the first floor of the existing midrise apartment building. Finishes include new flooring, wall coverings, wall base, ceilings, corner guards, doors and lighting throughout the common areas. -The Scope of this project is to provide a general construction Base Bid price to replace Siding fascia, soffits, doors and frames for (14) Apartment Sheds. Sheds consist of 4, 6 & 8 units each. New siding to be vinyl with aluminum fascia and soffits. New prehung doors and frames shall be fiberglass. New metal thresholds shall also be included. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority of Montour County, U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond, executed by the bidder and acceptable surety (Treasury Listed) to the Housing Authority in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the Base Bid is required to be submitted with the sealed bid proposal. If a bid guarantee is not received, the Housing Authority will reject the bid proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Labor & Material Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. Surety must be listed on the current U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570. A one-year Maintenance Bond will also be required from the successful bidder. Costs for all bonds is the responsibility of the contractor and shall be included as part of the submitted Base Bid. Attention is called to the provision for equal employment opportunity and the compliance with Section 3 Regulations (employment opportunities for low-income persons in HUD Funded construction and modernization projects) and the payment of not less than the wages set forth in the Specifications. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days subsequent to the opening date of the bids without the written consent of the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority of Montour County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any information informalities in bids the following list of alternatives listed below will be added or deducted to the cost of the base bid. refer to the specifications for further information. alternative (g-1): in lieu of the base bid complete removal of existing ceramic tile and base flooring, grind existing ceramic tile floor and joints to install leveling compound and install new lvt flooring light fixtures: alternative (g-2): in lieu of the base bid lvt flooring, provide epoxy resin flooring finish in community room 118. epoxy flooring shall match the resinous flooring called for in laundry 116 and garbage 100. resinous flooring to extend into all closet areas within community room 118. wall base shall be same as base bid.
