Question Deadline 11/01/2024 The deadline for questions. The Work for this Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. This project consists of converting existing 4kV electrical distribution system at Galion WWTP facility to the Cityis current standard of 12.14kV electrical distribution system. This will include removal of (3) 500kVA 480/277V transformer and (1) standby generator (including associated paralleling switchgear). New WWTP 480/277V transformer, 480/277V switchgear with automatic transfer switch and standby generator to be proposed for new design. All existing electrical loads, design elements related to process and controls to remain as existing. B. The project will consist of the installation of several items at the City of Galion Wastewater Treatment Plant. The installation includes, but is not limited to, electrical service entrances, duct banks, underground distribution, diesel generator, switchgears, and a prefabricated outdoor rated power equipment enclosure. Equipment shop drawings for equipment procurement shall accompany the bid proposal and the Contractor shall be prepared to procure equipment within 10 days of Notice to Proceed. Operational demonstration and returning the plant to service shall conclude the project scope. Furnishing the labor and material required for the City of Galion's Wastewater Treatment Plant Generator Improvements according to the specifications, and estimates for such improvement. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The Engineer's Estimate of Probable Construction Cost is $1,587,000. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided and shall state the Unit Price or Lump Sum as indicated by the blanks provided. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Attention of the Bidder is directed to the requirements that each proposal must be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit, properly executed by the Bidder. Further, the successful Bidder will be required to execute an affidavit required by Sec. 5719.042 of the Ohio Revised Code. No payment shall be made on any contract for which no such affidavit has been submitted. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Crawford County and the City of Galion, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614.644.2239. No bidder shall be considered a responsive and responsible bidder or eligible to be awarded the contract to which this Notice applies, if the bidder is listed on the Auditor of State's database as having a "Finding of Recovery" as that term is defined in O.R.C. 9.24.
