**As of August 18, 2025, the project was awarded to Bucyrus Road Materials, with an awarded amount of $891,854.82.** for furnishing all material and equipment required and performing all labor required for the following work: Wearing course removal and/or placing a new asphalt surface on Carter Drive from end-to-end; Gill Avenue from Erie to Harding Way; Gill Avenue loop with Heise Park; N. Union from Harding Way to Erie; Center Street from Westgate to south terminus; Bloomer from end-to-end; Primrose from end-to-end; Grant from Fairview to King; King from end-to-end; N. Columbus from Payne to Grant; First Avenue from Harding Way to Dawsett; South Street from Covert Way to Richardson; W. Walnut from S. Market to Liberty; W. Atwood from the railroad tracks to Pierce; S. East Street from Harding Way to Walnut; Riblet St. from Dawsett to Richardson; Fellow St. from end-to-end; Westwood from end-to-end; Homer from end-to-end; W. Railroad St. from S. Market to S. Boston; Mackey St. from John to Clymer; all within the City of Galion, Ohio. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Sections 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than October 30, 2025. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked City of Galion - 2025 Street Resurfacing and bids must be signed by all parties interested in the contract. Sealed bids will be publicly opened on the above date, read aloud and an award made at the time to which considerations of said bids may be duly adjourned, as provided by law. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond acceptable to the City of Galion in the sum of 100% of the amount of the contract, as a guarantee to the faithful performance and completion of the work called for in the General Specifications.
