The City of Shelby was awarded a State-Local Infrastructure Partnership Act grant for restoration of the Roxy Theater to include cleaning carpets/chairs; interior painting; updating the façade; concessions updates to include popcorn, soda and ice machines as well as display cabinets and coolers; flooring; electrical; HVAC; reader board and neon sign; replacement of front entry doors; and installation of laser projector and sound equipment.
