The E.O. Smith High School Main exterior entrance doors need to be upgraded to comply with recommend security access controls. Note: - The existing doors, frames, storefront are aluminum by installed around the year 2000, the closers are built into the upper frame. Some hardware has been replaced and security controls added. The E. O. Smith high School is requesting proposals from vendors for the complete removal of existing and the install of a new door system. The selected contractor shall submit a proposal and cover all fees for any required permits to complete the work. All work shall comply, in every respect, with Regional School District #19 (Region) and State regulations and laws, as well as applicable Code requirements (Region location and State) Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner, issued by a responsible bank or trust company, if required. In the event that the successful bidder refuses, fails, or is otherwise unable to enter into a contract for the work with the Owner or is otherwise in default of its bid, the amount of such bid deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages on account of such default. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and payment bond in the amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, if required. Attorneys-in-fact who sign contract bonds must file, with each bond, a certified and effectively dated copy of their power of attorney. Certificates of Insurance may be required and must be furnished by the Contractor prior to any work being performed All bids shall be considered valid for a period of ninety (90) days. Regional School District #19 reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any informality; or to accept any bid deemed in the best interests of the Regional School District #19 for E.O Smith High School.
