Project Description/scope of Work: the Project Involves Installation of Air Conditioning Systems in Two Buildings of an Existing Six Building Dormitory Complex. Cooling is to Be Provided to Floors Two Through Four in Each of the Two Buildings. Conditioned Make Up Air Systems to Be Installed as Part of the Project. Installation to Include New Chw Hxs, Pumps, Dual Temperature Piping Systems, Fan Coil Units, Make Up Air Units, and Associated Controls. Installation to Include All Associated Piping, Insulation, Ductwork, Plumbing, Power, Controls and Fire Alarm. Below Grade Area Ways to Be Installed for New Make-up Air Systems. Vertical Shafts Through the Dorms to Be Installed for New Make-up Air Ductwork. All Work in the Associated Dorm Rooms Must Be Complete by August 8th, 2025. Heat for the Dorm Rooms Must Be Operational by October 1, 2025. Remaining Construction Must Be Complete by December 1st, 2025. Cooling Systems Must Be Operational by April 15th, 2026. Set-aside Requirements: the Set-aside Requirement for This Project is That (1) Not Less Than Thirty Percent (30%) of the Total Contract Price Be Awarded to Subcontractors Who Are Certified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services as "Small Business Enterprises" ("Sbes") and (2) Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Contract Price Be Awarded to Subcontractors Who Are Certified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services as "Minority Business Enterprises" ("Mbes") (the 10% Set Aside for Mbes May Be Included in the 30% Set Aside for Sbes). If the Contractor is an S/mbe, Then Any Self-performed Work May Be Included in the Set-aside Requirement. The Contractor is Responsible for Ensuring That They, and the S/mbes They Have Selected, Are Eligible Connecticut-certified S/mbe Contractors.
