The historic timber-covered bridge project involves the replacement of a portion of the laminated timber deck. The project is located on Covered Bridge Road (T-322) over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River in Bell Township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. Clearfield County McGee Mill Covered Bridge Timber Deck Repair A certified check or bid bond payable to or naming as oblige the Clearfield County Commissioners in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be deposited with the proposal as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the successful bidder will execute the contract and furnish all bonds as may be required. Proposals must be sealed in an envelope and marked McGee Mill Covered Bridge - Timber Deck Repair bear the name and address of the bidder, and be addressed to: Clearfield County Commissioners Attn: Lisa McFadden, Chief Clerk 212 E. Locust Street, Suite 112 Clearfield, PA 16830. The Clearfield County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality or bidding irregularities, and to award the contract as may be deemed by the Commissioners to be in their best interest. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid within sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof. The contract duration will be 60-days. It is anticipated that notice-to-proceed will be issued on or about November 12, 2024 with a late finish of January 18, 2025.
