The R. J. Corman Railroad Company/Pennsylvania Line ("the railroad") has received a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Rail Transportation Assistance Program (RTAP) for installing 18,297 timber cross ties and performing 115,104 track feet of surfacing along the RJCP Cherry Tree and Cresson branches in Clearfield and Cambria Counties, PA. Prospective bidders who wish explanations or clarifications of an item within the Contract Documents must submit their inquiries via email at the following address: Kelli Simpson Funded Projects Manager R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC Email: Kelli.Simpson@RJCorman.com To be given consideration, questions must be received prior to 4:30 p.m. EST, February 5, 2025. Contract award is anticipated to be MARCH 3, 2025 with on-site work beginning June 2025 and all work complete by end of August 2025. The bidder shall furnish the Labor and Material Payment Bond to R. J. Corman within three business days after receipt of a fully executed contract from R. J. Corman. R. J. Corman may require appropriate evidence that the persons executing the Agreement and the Bonds for both the bidder and its surety or sureties are duly empowered to do so. The Labor and Material Payment Bond must be in an amount at least equal to the total bid price. R. J. Corman reserves the right to reject any bid and waive any abnormalities.
