Sealed Bids will be received by The Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority (the "Authority"), 13-15 Linden Avenue East, Jersey City, New Jersey, for the performance of the following services: Removal and Disposal of Street Excavation Material from the Authority's Facilities Street excavation materials are stored at the Authority's facilities, having been collected by or on behalf of the Authority during the repair of water and sewer main breaks throughout the City of Jersey City, and consist of mixed materials that include, but are not limited to, concrete, brick, asphalt, dirt, and stone. Street excavation materials may also contain other non-hazardous materials. Bid submissions will be accepted via United States Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested, hand-delivery, overnight delivery service, or private courier to the Authority's office address. Bids will be date and time stamped upon receipt. Bidder is solely responsible for the timely delivery of the bid and no bids shall be considered that are presented after the public call for receiving bids. BIDDERS SHALL INCLUDE ONE (1) ORIGINAL AND ONE (1) COPY OF THE BID PACKAGE AND A CD ROM OR USB DRIVE VERSION IN A PDF FORMAT. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check for not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount for the bid or $20,000.00 maximum, whichever is lower. Checks shall be made payable to the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority. BIDDERS MUST COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 ET SEQ. AND N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 ET SEQ. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION OF THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. Accompanying the bid of any corporation, partnership, or limited liability company there shall be submitted a statement of ownership in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, or to accept the bid for the Contract that, in its sole judgment, best serves the interests of the Authority, all in accordance with applicable law. All bid prices shall hold firm for sixty (60) days. Mutually agreed upon extensions of time may be made, if necessary, and in accordance with law. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Authority.
