Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Dubuque, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project will include the reconstruction of three alleys in downtown Dubuque into permeable alleys. The alleys are located between Iowa street and Central Avenue from 15 th to 17 th streets (2 alleys) and between Central Avenue and White Street from 17 th to 18 th Street (1 alley). All three alleys will have all pavement removed, complete reconstruction of the water main and sanitary sewer with associated private services. excavation to allow for 3 feet of porous stone, installation of a subdrain, connections to storm sewer, concrete bands and brick pavers suited for permeable pavement. There is an existing Lumen fiber duct bank that needs to be worked around on the alley between Central Avenue and White Street. The alley between Central Avenue and Iowa Street from 15 th to 16 th Street will have permeable pavers installed in a unique design pattern. Some of the project quantities include the following; Excavation: 2780 CY 7" PCC Pavement: 550 SY Permeable Brick Pavers: 13360 SF ASTM 57 Stone: 285 Ton ASTM 2 Stone: 4020 Ton 8" PVC C900 Sanitary Sewer: 805 LF 6" DIP Water main: 610 LF 12" DIP water main: 260 LF Base Bid Estimated Total Cost = $1,343,214.00 Bidders must submit questions about the Contract Documents to the Engineer in writing or by email only. Replies will be issued to Contract Document holders of record as Addenda to the Drawings and Specifications and will become part of the Contract Documents. Neither City nor a Bidder may rely on oral clarification. Failure to request clarification will not waive the responsibility of comprehension of the Contract Documents and performance of the work in accordance with the intent of the documents. Signing of the Bid Proposal constitutes an acknowledgement of understanding of the Contract Documents Each Bidder must accompany its Bid with a Bid security as security that the successful Bidder will enter into a contract for the work Bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety Bond, acceptable to the governmental entity, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The Bid security must be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the contract and must be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state chartered or federally chartered credit union, or the Bidder may provide a Bid Bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the governmental entity. The Bid Bond must contain no conditions except as provided in this section. Work on the Project must be commenced within ten (10) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed has been issued and shall be fully completed by September 30, 2025. City of Dubuque, Iowa, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.
