Renovation of a fire / police facility in Granby, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The Town of Granby is seeking to purchase a state-of-the-art Access Control System for the Public Safety Complex. This is to replace an aging system that is currently at the building. The system should be a highly reliable, which will meet current needs and provide a growth path for future expansion if necessary. The system is expected to serve the needs of The Town of Granby, and shall have the flexibility of being able to be adapted to changing system requirements and state-of-the-art technologies without the need for the replacement of major equipment elements. The Town of Granby seeks to replace the entire system at this time. Currently there are 22 proximity readers and 10 proximity / keyboard readers and all of the necessary equipment and programming. Site visits may be scheduled with the Police Chief, Kevin O'Grady (413-467-9222). If, at the time of the scheduled bid opening, Town Hall is closed due to uncontrolled events such as fire, snow, ice, wind, or building evacuation, the bid opening will be postponed until 10:00 a.m. on the next normal business day. Bids will be accepted until that date and time. The Town of Granby, acting through its Awarding Authority, reserves the right to cancel this proposal, or reject in whole or in part any and all proposals and waive minor informalities if the Town determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the Town.
