The intent and purpose of this Invitation for Bid is to establish a contract with a qualified supplier to furnish and provide cleanout, replacement of aeration piping diffuser membranes, and jet, vacuum, and CCTV approximately 504 ft of 12" tank drain piping for Enhanced Nutrient Removal (ENR) Tanks 9 & 10 to the County of Henrico, Virginia. Question Deadline 10/28/2024 Should you have any questions concerning, please contact Beverly Mitchell at mit.098 @ henrico.gov The County and the Successful Bidder recognize that time is of the essence in this Contract and that the County will suffer financial loss if the ENR tank(s) cleanout is not completed within seventy-five (75) calendar days from the successful bidder's receipt of PO, plus any extensions thereof allowed by the County. Both parties also recognize the delays, expense and damages involved in proving a legal proceeding the actual loss suffered by the County if the Work is not completed on time. Accordingly, notwithstanding any other provisions of this Contract, the County and the Successful Bidder agree, stipulate and fix as liquidated damages but not as a penalty, that the Successful Bidder together with the Successful Bidder's surety shall pay the County $300.00 for each calendar day or part thereof that expires after the time of seventy-five (75) calendar days from the successful bidder's receipt of PO, plus any proper time extension, until the Successful Bidder completes the Work, if the Successful Bidder does not complete the Work within seventy-five (75) days required by this Contract. The Successful Bidder is not required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond for this contract. The Purchasing Division reserves the right to waive any informality in bids and to award in part or in whole or to reject any or all bids.
