Demolition of the former hospital. Scope of work to be identified in future Master Plan. Renal Building refurbishment. Hospital site: 995 & 941 Queen St E. TIMELINE: Council has approved the sale of the property to GIP and Ruscio Construction, completion of the sale is expected October 1, 2025. A master plan for the properties will be completed in 24-36 months. Scope of work to be defined on vacant lands. Demolition of the hospital building will take place within 18 months & new construction permit application are to be submitted within the next 5 years. Ruscio is the purchaser of the former renal site & will refurbish the building within 12 months of the sale closing. Updates may be available fall 2026.
