the RENOVATIONS TO FERRANTE HALL, located at 4585 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, New York 13215 General Construction: Renovation of the first-floor spaces to create classrooms, simulation nursing labs, accessory storage, business areas, including hazardous materials abatement, site work and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Approximately 44,500 square feet of renovation and additions. HVAC: The HVAC scope of work includes a new central chilled water/glycol system and central heating hot water/glycol system for Fer rante Hall. The existing air distribution systems associated with the two existing dual duct air handling units serving Wing 1 and Wing 2 at the first floor of the facility will be redistributed for the extensive renovations. The two existing dual duct air handling units will be retrofitted with new preheat, reheat and cooling coils. The two air handling units serving the Auditorium within the facility will be replaced with new air handling units. Electrical: Scope of work for electrical is to include all necessary labor, material, and equipment for renovations of wings 1 and 2 on the first floor of Ferrante Hall. Advance audio-video systems shall be provided throughout the project areas in classrooms and labs. The door access control system shall be upgraded, and a new mass notification system shall be provided and tied into the existing system, serving the upper floors. Plumbing & Fire Protection: Scope of work for plumbing and fire protection is to include all necessary labor, material, and equipment for renovations of wings 1 and 2 on the first floor of Ferrante Hall. Plumbing work to include, but is not limited to selective demolition, modifi cation and new domestic water, sanitary, storm and gas piping for both the crawl space and the first floor. Plumbing work shall also include a new air compressor, vacuum pump, gas outlets, and new plumbing fixtures. Fire protection work to include but is not limited to selective demolition and modification of existing systems to support a new wet sprinkler system within the renovation area.
