Renovation of a multi-residential development in Jennings, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Owner of this Project is: The Housing Authority of the City of Jennings, Louisiana 300 Bangle Street Jennings, Louisiana 70546 The Architect for this Project is: Petitjean Architecture, LLC, A Limited Liability Corporation 103 Bocage Circle Lafayette, Louisiana 70503 Contractors are invited to submit a bid for the renovation of five dwelling units on Site LA 118-1B plus an Alternate for the deduction of one three bedroom unit. The dwelling units will include replacement of interior finishes, i.e., walls, floors, ceilings, plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, electrical fixtures, etc. for the Housing Authority of Jennings, Louisiana. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the Classification of General Contractor. Each bona fide bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38: 2212(A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214 or without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Work for this project is generally described in paragraph "C". Bids shall be a Stipulated Sum basis as per the original documents. The Owner requires the Architect to issue Substantial Completion of the Work on or before 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Thereafter, liquidated damages will be charged. A Bid Security (a certified check or bank draft made payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable Sureties) in the amount of 5% of the highest possible bid amount is required. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal. Submit bids on the Bid Form provided. Refer to Document 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders for additional information. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the specifications under the Davis-Bacon Act, must be paid on this project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. P. Bidders should be aware that the project is funded by Capital Fund Program of the Department of Housing & Urban Development of the Government of the United States. BIDDING DOCUMENTS Sub-bidders may obtain copies of Bidding Documents from prime contractor's or by registering with Petitjean Architecture, LLC for electronic pdf documents. Requests for bid documents can be sent to biddocs01@petitjeanarch.com. Bidding Documents are available, for review only, at the Central Office of the Housing Authority of Jennings, Louisiana, 300 Bangle Street, Jennings, Louisiana. No copies will be provided at the office of the Housing Authority. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. EXAMINATION OF SITE The site is available for examination by Bidders and Sub-bidders at any time during working hours. The Bidders and Sub-bidders shall notify the Architect and the Owner prior to visiting the site for coordination of Owner's operation.
