Site work for a water / sewer project in New Lexington, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Selective demolition and removal of existing equipment, installation of new process piping, valves and fittings, Installation of new miscellaneous metals, and pipe supports, new aeration blower and coarse bubble SS diffusers, removal and replacement of valves and piping, new progressive cavity sludge feed pump, new polymer feed equipment, removal of existing rotary fan press, installation of volute screw press, electrical power and control work. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of The Village of New Lexington in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The successful bidder will be required to pay federally-determined Davis-Bacon Wage Rates. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Village of New Lexington reserves the right pursuant to ORC.9.312 to reject any and all bids and to waive any non-material irregularity in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. As a condition of receiving capitalization grants from U.S. EPA for the Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) and the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA), the Ohio EPA negotiates "fair share" Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) objectives with U.S. EPA. The current negotiated goals for construction related activities are 1.3% of all contracts to MBEs and 1.0% of all contracts to WBEs.
