The Hamblen County Department of Education is seeking bids for the following: *Track Resurfacing at Morristown West High School and Morristown East High School (LongReel Track) HCBOE reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids. Direct inquiries to Hugh Clement, Assistant Superintendent at 423-581-3118. The base Bid shall include the delivery and installation of track resurfacing. The bid shall nclude all associated costs to furnish, deliver and install the requested products. Any changes to the bid specifications will be issued through addendum. The approved :ontractor shall be held liable for any property damage by its equipment and/or employees. Track shall be edged and blown clean to remove loose material and debris prior to work beginning. A primer tack coat shall be applied to aid adhesion of new materail at a rate of 0.03g/square yard. Three (3) layers of rubber/binder shall be applied to track at a rate of five (5) Ibs/square yard rubber and 0.3g/square yard binder. A new high solids acrylic top coating shall be added at a rate of .lg/square yard to provide U.V. protection as well as provide extended durability and flexibility to the surface. Track shall be striped according to NFHS specifications. Starting block areas shall be patched with two (2) component urethane and rubber to tighten up the surface prior to the three (3) layer system.
