Prevailing Wages In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 ET. seq., of the Labor Code, the Director of the Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the work to be done. The Contractor will be required to pay to all workers on the project sums not less than the sums set forth in the documents entitled "General Prevailing Wage Determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Sections 1770, 1773, 1773.1". A copy of said document(s) is on file and may be inspected in the office of the City Engineer, located at 34272 Yucaipa Boulevard, Yucaipa, California, 92399. Attention is directed to the provisions of Section 177.5 and 177.6 of the Labor Code concerning the employment of apprentices by the Contractor or any subcontractor under the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide insurance in accordance with these Specifications. In addition, the Contractor shall guarantee all work against defective workmanship and materials furnished by the Contractor for a period of one (1) year from the date the work was completed in accordance with Sections 2-4 and 6-8 of the Standard Specifications for the Public Works Construction. The Contractor's sureties for the "Performance Bond" shall be liable for any work that the Contractor fails to replace within a specified time. The City of Yucaipa reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to award each item separately, and/or waive any informality on any bid. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the time set for the opening thereof. Failure by the successful bidder to enter into a contract with the City, or to deliver goods and/or services in accordance with the bid may result in a declaration by the City that the bidder is not a responsible bidder and elimination from consideration in future bidding. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
