This Work Shall Include Furnishing All Labor, Material and Equipment to Complete the Project Water Service Replacements - Waters Edge as Described in the Specifications and Shown in the Plans. Work Includes Removals of Existing 3/4", and 1 1/2 " Water Services, Relocation of Existing Service Lines as Needed to Attain 4' Separation Between Water and Sewer Laterals and Make the Service Line Perpendicular to the Water Main, Connection to Existing Or Relocated Corporation Stop at the Main With a Brass Adapter, and Installation of New Copper or Municipex Water Service (Size to Match Existing) From the Main to the Meter for 43 Water Services Within Boulder City. This Work Shall Also Include Installation or Replacement of Water Meters, Meter Boxes, and/or Encoder Receiver Transmitter Modules (ERTs) for Locations Specified (These Items Will Be Supplied by the City). This Project Shall Include Asphalt Replacements. The Contractor, as provided for in the General Conditions, shall pay to the City as fixed and agreed liquidated damages, the amount of $1,500 for each calendar day delay in completion of the work beyond the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed" for the completion of the contract. The Contractor shall be required to achieve completion of the work sufficiently in advance of the Completion Date to complete/correct all deficient items to achieve Final Completion by or before the Completion Date as specified in the "Notice to Proceed." Beneficial use of the improvements by the Owner does not cease the accrual of liquidated damages nor change the daily amount of liquidated damages withheld for each calendar day delay in completion of the work beyond the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed." The Contractor shall, as provided for in the General Conditions of these specifications, submit to the Designated City Project Representative one copy of each permit necessary for the prosecution of the work. The Contractor shall not include in the proposal any separate costs for such permits. The Contractor shall acquire a Boulder City Business License prior to beginning any work. All subcontractors must acquire a Boulder City Business License prior to beginning any work on the site. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the Owner. Workman's Compensation Insurance, Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, and a Guarantee Bond will be executed as part of the contract agreement. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work including deficiency list items must be completed within ninety (90) calendar days after the date of the *Notice to Proceed by the Owner. The Contractor shall provide a one-year warranty for the scope of work performed in this contract. The one-year warranty shall be from the date of the Notice of Completion.
