The Project includes the following Work: The project involves converting a wastewater treatment plant into a pump station, which includes constructing a pre-engineered metal building over existing tankage that will be repurposed into a wet well and valve vault. The scope includes installing a 6-inch force main approximately 3,650 feet long to discharge into an existing manhole. Additionally, the project entails replacing approximately 225 feet of existing 8-inch gravity sewer and installing 1,960 feet of new 8-inch gravity sewer. A pre-bid conference for the Project will NOT be held Instructions to Bidders. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ('the Act') which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost for each Contract is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142).
