The University Police department at Alfred wishes to obtain a camera system that monitors our entrance roadways of our campus to maintain a virtual fence of who is entering and exiting our campus. The system will be able to identify and search by the license plate information, make, model, color, and decals. This system will be capable, if need be, to assess the NYS DMV system to provide information related to vehicle and vehicle operator suspensions and wanted persons. The system must be all inclusive with operational software provided and options of data storge stored securely in cloud-based storage and solely accessible by SUNY Alfred Police. The system footage needs to be owned by SUNY Alfred Police. Data from system cannot be sold, aggregated or packaged up. SUNY Alfred Police can optionally choose to share with other Law Enforcement. Data is stored for a minimum of 30 days, and SUNY Alfred Police shall have access to a log of any searches conducted on these cameras. The camera system should leverage solar or electricity for power, so they can be deployed at virtually any location.
