The Project consists of the removal of debris materials, rock, and sand that have formed an immobile bar upstream of the Union Pacific Railroad track, between the Union Pacific and BNSF Railroad tracks, and from the BNSF Railroad track downstream of the US Highway 34/75 bridge at the Sarpy and Cass County borders. Work includes excavation/removal and disposal of accumulated debris; excavation and transportation of rock riprap to be stockpiled offsite; and excavation/removal of sand materials to be deposited in a nearby sandpit lake.
