Renovation of a fire / police facility in Fairfax, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Fairfax County is accepting pricing statements from pre-qualified EVA Commodity code 91054 contractors for patching and painting services at the Fire Training Academy located at 4600 West Ox Road, Fairfax, Virginia 22030. The fire alarm system at Fire Training Academy has been recently replaced and the old fire alarm devices have been removed. Where the old devices have been removed the device locations need to be patched and repainted (base scope). In addition, there are areas that have been identified to have all the new paint installed. Refer to the attached marked up drawings for locations and color selections. Work will occur in occupied offices and work areas and noise restrictions apply. Work consists of patching and painting in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by Fairfax County Space Planning Manager and Project Manager. Work will occur near occupied fire stations, offices, and work areas; utility services cannot be disrupted, and noise restrictions apply. Full containment of dust & debris must be maintained at all time so protections must be in place prior to start of any work that consists of demolition or hazardous conditions and will be maintained to allow operation of facility until condition / item is completed. Day-to-day operation of the Fire Academy shall not be impacted during the construction process. Working hours, access to classrooms and other occupied areas must be coordinated with the FMD Project Manager. Questions are due by the close of business on Friday October 18, 2024, Email all questions in a copyable format (such as MSWord) to Robert.goyer@fairfaxcounty.gov Unless negotiated and agreed upon in writing otherwise by the FMD Project Manager, the date of Substantial Completion shall be no more than twenty (20) weeks from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Issuance of the Purchase Order shall be construed as Notice-to-Proceed. Project Completion and Closeout shall be no more than two (2) weeks from Substantial Completion. Substantial completion shall be defined as all equipment working as intended including final punch list items addressed to the satisfaction of the Owner.
