Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Millersburg, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of site improvements to facilitate the removal and reconstruction of pavement and sidewalks with associated grading, drainage, and appurtenances at the Millersburg Square in Millersburg, KY. Project Identification: Millersburg Square Improvements Project. 1. Project Location: Main St. & Vimont St. at 5th Street & 6th Street, Millersburg, KY. A completed bid bond form in the sum of 5% of the Bid Amount is required to be attached to the Bid Form. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). A. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. 1. Contract Time: a. 70 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed for Substantial Completion. b. 85 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed for Final Completion. 2. Liquidated Damages: a. A sum of one hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per calendar day in which the project does not reach Substantial Completion after the predetermined date of Substantial Completion. b. The sum shall represent the actual damages which the Owner will have sustained per day by failure of the Contractor to complete the work within the time stipulated, and this sum is not a penalty, being the stipulated damage the County will have sustained in event of such default by the Contractor. 1.6 PROJECT TIMELINE A. The successful Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to execute the Contract and provide Insurance Certificates within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of the Notice of Award. The Notice of Award will be accompanied by the necessary Contract. 1.8 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. 1.9 INSURANCE A. The Contractor will not be permitted to commence work until all insurance required by the documents is obtained and such insurance has been approved by the County, nor shall the Contractor allow any Subcontractor to commence work until all insurance required has been obtained and approved.
