General work description: In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, removing and replacing plaster for both the training and recreation pools at the Monterey Sports Center Natatorium. Repair damaged pool water return lines. Replace the pool deck surface and damaged tile and other pool related improvements. All questions must be submitted in writing through the OpenGov Procurement Question/Answer Tab via the City's e-Procurement portal, on or before the Question & Answer Submission Date and Time. All questions submitted and answers provided shall be electronically distributed to all bidders who have selected to "follow" this Specification on the City's e-Procurement Portal. Question Response Deadline: November 15, 2024, 5:00pm Engineers Estimate $1,348,000. An original certified check or cashier's check payable to the order of the City of Monterey, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount shall be uploaded with each bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bid bond must be notarized, include the embossed surety seal, and include a Power of Attorney if the signee is not an officer of the surety. BID REJECTION The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the best interests of the City may dictate and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any irregularity in any bid. If there is any reason for believing that collusion exists among the bidders, the City may reject any or all bids.
