Site work and paving for a civil project in Toney, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Madison County is taking sealed bids for labor, equipment, materials, and any incidentals required to complete the work required in the bid package titled, Patterson Lane Realignment at Pulaski Pike, dated October 2024. The Project is located at the intersection of Pulaski Pike and Patterson Lane in Madison County, Alabama, and it generally consists of widening Pulaski Pike, realigning Patterson Lane, and removing the existing pavement of Patterson Lane. The Scope of Work to be performed under this Contract includes demolition, turn lanes, widening, earthwork, excavation, compaction, grading, storm sewer pipe, storm sewer structures, culverts, milling, paving, patching, striping, markings, pavement markers, signing, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, guardrail, and guardrail end anchors. Questions should be directed, in writing, to Taylor Schmidt at tschmidt@madisoncountyal.gov and Jennie Weatherly at jweatherly@madisoncountyal.gov. This bid is intended to comply with Alabama Code Title 39 (Alabama Public Works Law) and Federal Provisions of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). All bids must be marked with the word "BID" on the outside along with the contractor's name, bid number, bid opening date, and Alabama General Contractor's License Number. The contractor shall meet all Madison County Bonding and Licensing requirements and shall comply with all provisions of the Beason-Hammond Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, commonly referred to as the Immigration Act. Additionally, the contractor must demonstrate good faith efforts to include Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and comply with the Davis-Bacon Act. Award will be made at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Madison County Commission. County reserves the right to accept or reject all Bids or any portion thereof.
