The scope of work consists of the removal of the existing asphalt concrete pavement for Makani Road and the connecting driveways from Mikiola Street to Makawao Avenue. Makani Road will be reconstructed to include two 10-foot wide travel lanes, concrete curb/curb and gutter with concrete sidewalks; curb ramps; grade adjustments; concrete driveways; catch basins and drain inlet; utility adjustments; asphalt concrete pavement and transition areas; pavement striping; and pavement markers. During construction, one-way traffic shall be maintained and will allowed for nine (9) months only. To be eligible for award, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering "A" license, prior to the award of the contract.
