Renovation of a mixed-use development in Havana, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
G&H Project No. C4338 Generally, the work includes the demolition of the existing wood bleachers and installation of new telescoping bleachers. Construction for the project is scheduled to commence promptly upon Board approval and be substantially complete by 08-01-2025. The District will open and read aloud all bids immediately after the specified closing time. All bidders are invited to attend the formal opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid, made payable to the Board of Education, Havana CUSD #126. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond will be rejected. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U.S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Contractor shall pay the premiums for these bonds. The Board of Education, Havana CUSD #126 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids.
