Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Havana, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility; and educational facility.
The project involves Havana CUSD #126 accepting sealed bids for the flooring replacement at Havana New Central School and Havana High School in Havana, Illinois. The work generally includes removing existing non-ACM flooring, preparing designated subfloor areas, and installing new LVP, rubber tile, epoxy resinous flooring, and wall base at various locations. Abatement by others will occur in some areas prior to or concurrently with this work. Bidders must submit a notarized certification that the contractor is not barred from bidding due to violations of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295. Bids are to be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. The successful bidder will need to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract cost, within ten days after acceptance, with the surety being a U.S. Treasury backed company licensed to do business in Illinois. The contractor shall pay the bond premiums. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities, and no bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after opening. Specifications and drawings are available via email from the Office of the Architect or through the provided online planroom.
