The Project consists of providing all materials, labor, tools, skills, and equipment for the construction of approximately 2250 feet of 2-inch polyethylene gas main along and within the right of way of Weslyn Park S/D near Social Circle Georgia. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. One contract shall be awarded covering all the work, and the maximum time for completion shall not exceed the time frame outlined by the City of Social Circle and as established by the primary customer receiving gas service from this project. Each proposal or bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check on a duly organized bank made payable to the City of Social Circle or a bidding bond executed by the bidder, and surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia, in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Said check or bond will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder as soon as the contract or contracts have been awarded and to the successful bidder as soon as he has executed the contract or contracts and furnished the necessary bonds, same having been approved by the City's attorney. The successful bidder will be furnished, free of charge, three (3) sets of plans and contract documents. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for a period of ninety (90) days. Bidders are required to have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License to submit a bid in excess of $100,000.00. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to waive formalities; re-advertise; and to reduce or add to the contract from time to time.
