**As of January 14, 2025, project was awarded to Taylor Backhoe Services Inc. awarded amount is $943,706.80.** Bids received after said time shall be returned unopened. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after the Bid opening date. The project consists of the installation of ADA compliant sidewalk and curb ramps in the general area of Dent Elementary School. The work includes asphalt, concrete and landscape removal, installation of concrete sidewalks and ADA curb ramps, concrete driveway and landscape connections from existing conditions to proposed sidewalk and concrete valley gutters. Various incidentals including, but not limited to, street sign relocations and adjusting utilities to grade are also included in the work. Any and all inquiries and comments regarding this Bid must be communicated in writing, unless otherwise instructed by the City. The City may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any Bidder who engages in any prohibited communications. The Engineer's Estimate is 1,100,000. Bidders must be prequalified. Bids must be submitted on the City's Bid Forms. The City of Escalon requires all bidders on City public works projects requiring a Class A contractor license with a contract value greater than $100,000, or as determined by the City Engineer, must be prequalified as a condition of bidding on said projects. It is mandatory that all contractors who intend to submit bids fully complete the prequalification questionnaire, provide all materials requested, and be approved by the City to be on the final bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor that has failed to comply with these requirements.
