Questions will be allowed until 10/28/2024 at 5:00 pm The State of Nevada Purchasing Division, on behalf off the Governor's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is seeking a qualified vendor to perform installation and maintenance work pertaining to the Nevada Camera/Card Access System (NCAS) in State-owned and State-occupied buildings in the State of Nevada. Please see the RFP and the Scope of Work in the 'Attachments' tab for specification information. Anticipated Contract Start Date: 02/11/2025 Anticipated Contract End Date: 02/28/2029 Access Control System is a physical access control system utilizing proximity badges or similar tokens that emit a unique radio signal that is detected by card readers strategically placed at entry points such as doors or gates. When an individual approaches a secured area, they present their badge to the card reader. The reader then captures the badge's signal and verifies its authenticity by cross-referencing it with a database of authorized users. If the badge is recognized and authorized, the access control system grants entry by unlocking the door or gate, allowing the individual to pass through.
