As of January 2, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The proposed work includes: The addition of a 2-way, street level, physically protected bike and scooter facility on the existing asphalt pavement along the west side of Tucker Boulevard between Washington Avenue and Chouteau Avenue. The project will also include elements that improve pedestrian safety and accessibility such as updated pedestrian signal heads, high visibility crosswalk markings, a mid-block median crosswalk refuge island at City Hall, and updated ADA curb ramps at select locations along the west side of Tucker. In addition, a new traffic signal is planned to replace the existing signal at the intersection of Tucker and Chouteau. This new signal will accommodate the cycle track, lane reconfiguration, curb ramps, and modified drainage at this intersection. All bidders must be on MoDOTs Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, 2022 Edition including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening A certified or cashiers check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. The Board of Public Service reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The DBE Goal for this project is 8%. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
