The Bid Proposal shall be prepared on a Proposal Form, provided by the District, in accordance with Section 2.3, FORM OF PROPOSAL, of the General Project Specifications. Bids not submitted on District provided forms will be rejected. The proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check on a bank or trust company in St. Louis County or in the City of St. Louis or by a bidder's bond, for an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid amount as bid security to the District. The work to be done under this contract consists of the construction of approximately 1,800 lineal feet of 6-inch to 12-inch sanitary sewer and appurtenances to be constructed in an area located east of Interstate 270 and south of Clayton Road, in the City of Town & Country and Des Peres, Missouri. The Engineers Opinion of Probable Cost for this project is $1,107,533. MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE UTILIZATION AND WORKFORCE PROGRAMS: The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (District) has established subcontractor goals for Building Construction (21% MBE and 10% WBE) and Non-Building Construction (10% MBE and 10% WBE) in the amount of $50,000 or more. Workforce goal requirements of 37% Minority, 11% Women, and 46% Apprentice (when applicable) apply to contracts in the amount of $500,000 or more.
