PSPC is addressing the Government of Canada's commitment to resilient federal assets, services and operations by requiring that Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessments (CRiVA) be done to inform Asset Management Plans (AMP). The CRiVA will identify the asset's vulnerabilities to future climate and extreme weather events, and the measures that can be taken to reduce climate risk. Conducting a CRiVA provides valuable information in establishing the baseline resilience of a building to climate-related risks and disasters, allowing solutions to be identified and prioritized. The conclusions of the CRiVA will help inform the building Asset Management Plan. A CRiVA is an assessment of the building infrastructure and recommended actions required to maintain the asset in operating condition when facing the climatic conditions projected over the life of the asset. The CRiVA will identify both short-term (< 5 years) and long-term (> 5 years) risks to the asset and measures to enhance resiliency. The CRiVA covers all major envelope, mechanical, electrical, site including underground utilities
