Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Hiram, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
The principal items of construction are the following: 800 L.F. 10" D.I.P. (Pressure Class 350) Water Main and Appurtenances 340 L.F. 10" Steel Water Main (To Be Hung on Bridge) 80 L.F. 16" Steel Casing (0.250" W.T.) (Open Cut) Prospective BIDDERS will be notified of the pre-qualification determination within three business days of receipt of a complete application. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia laws and comply with same. Bidders are required to have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License to submit a bid in excess of $100,000. Only pre-qualified BIDDERS will be allowed to bid on this project. Any prospective BIDDER, who has not already pre-qualified with Paulding County Water System, will be required to submit the required application package (Statement of Bidder's Qualification) to the ENGINEER no later than noon on November 12, 2024. Prospective BIDDERS who have not previously qualified can obtain the pre-qualification application package by emailing a request to Jodi Brock at Paulding Water at jodie.brock@paulding.gov. The criteria for pre-qualification includes, but is not limited to: (a) evidence of experience and successful completion of projects for local governments in Georgia of similar scope to this project; (b) evidence of financial and other resources to complete the work on schedule; (c) evidence of insurance and bond requirements. Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the Owner. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as, "BID PROPOSAL FOR PAULDING COUNTY WATER SYSTEM, MORNINGSIDE DRIVE WATER AND SANITARY SEWER RELOCATION - BID NO: 25013-3801". If the bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the Owner at the address shown above. Bid documents may be examined at the office of the Owner and Engineer at the following addresses: Owner: Paulding County Board of Commissioners Department of Finance 240 Constitution Boulevard Dallas, Georgia 30132 Engineer: AtkinsRealis USA 188 Anderson Street, Suite work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to substantially complete the project within Two Hundred Forty (240) consecutive calendar days thereafter and to fully complete the project within Four Hundred (400) consecutive calendar days as directed in Section 00101 and Section 00400 of the contract documents.
