The University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites the submission of Qualification documents from Executive Design Professionals to serve as Executive Architect or Engineer for alteration and addition projects in support of Social Sciences and Humanities Divisions. This package includes more information on the projects, a format for submitting proposals, and a description of the selection process. This RFQ covers the scope of work of the Executive Architect to prepare feasibility studies and pre-design documents, design and construction documents, provide bidding support, and construction-phase administration duties for future construction projects. UC Santa Cruz is requesting written responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the selection of multiple firms to provide all necessary Pre-Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Construction Administration services to successfully award a construction When needed, the selected consultants must be able to start work immediately and provide staff support in alignment with the specific project schedule. The University requires evidence of insurance coverage: General Liability, Professional Liability, Automobile Liability, and Worker's Compensation. If the architect does not currently have coverage in accordance with the University's policies, then evidence should be submitted indicating that such coverage will be effective prior to entering into a contractual agreement with the University. Interested firms will be required to submit a Letter of Intent, a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) and other documentation demonstrating related experience using standard forms provided by the University.
