General Contract for the Addition and Renovation of the existing Johnson County Public Library located at 2 Taylor Circle, Clarksville, Arkansas The bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Deposits will be refunded to all prime bidders who return the bidding documents complete and in good condition to Allison + Partners within ten (10) days after the opening of bids .Prime bidders requiring additional sets and sub-bidders may purchase bidding documents through Southern Reprographics, Inc. Obtaining contract documents through any source other than the Architect or their representative(s)is not advisable due to the risks of receiving incomplete or inaccurate information. Contract documents obtained through the Architect or their representative(s)are considered the official version and take precedence should any discrepancies occur. A Bid Bond executed by the bidder and a surety company authorized to transact business in Arkansas payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the bid submitted must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as maybe required. A Performance and Payment bond will also be furnished by the successful bidder within ten (10)days after receipt of the intent to award notice. Failure to furnish the required bonds may cause forfeiture of bid guarantee to the Owner as liquidated damages. Bidders shall conform to the requirements of the Arkansas licensing laws and regulations for contractors and shall be licensed before bid is submitted. Owner encourages all small, minority and women business enterprise to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event the subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. Bids will be retained for a period of 60 days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities.
