11/27/2024 - Anticipated Proposal Award. The contract will be a firm fixed price (FFP) contract and will be for a term of two (2) years, with clauses included for automatic renewal and ninety (90) day escape. Proposers are also requested to submit, as optional work, pricing for the removal of equipment and cabling no longer in use at the sites, as well as general site remediation (as outlined in Appendix C of the RFP). questions/clarifications for proposers. Questions must be in writing, email is acceptable Question Deadline 11/06/2024 Paging is handled on an analog VHF frequency. Potter County operates from twelve (12) microwave linked sites, plus three (3) fire department transmission sites connected by fiber. Potter County is seeking one or more proposals to provide regular maintenance for all of these systems, as well as 24/7/365 availability for emergency response. The selected vendor must agree to provide a minimum of two (2)-hour response window for emergency service. The vendor will provide 24/7 technical phone support and two (2), semi-annual system, site preventative maintenance services per year. The Potter County radio system uses mostly VHF conventional frequencies using Tait base stations. Law enforcement and fire operate on VHF frequencies, while emergency medical services operate on UHF frequencies.
