Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Mize, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,171-square-foot educational facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Mize K4 Renovation and Baseball Lighting The work shall include the interior renovation of the existing cafeteria building into a new Kindergarten classroom building. Exterior work shall include new windows in classrooms, new exterior doors and frames, handicapped access ramp with new sidewalks, minor storm drainage upgrades and minor modifications to rooftop curbs where units are removed. Interior work shall include new interior drywall partitions, new lay-in acoustical tile ceiling systems, new flooring and painting, new plumbing fixtures, water distribution and drainage piping, new HVAC units for each classroom, new lights and utility outlets. Structural renovation will include trenching of the existing floor slab for new sewer installation, cutting of the existing floor slab to install footings for the new columns/beams where interior concrete block bearing walls are to be removed. Security measures that will be included are magnetic locks on all exterior classroom doors and security cameras on interior and exterior of building. All classrooms shall include new millwork. Also included in this work is the replacement of the lighting at the campus baseball field. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to 5% of the bid, payable to the Smith County School District as bid security. A Payment and Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder.
