Renovation of a mixed-use development in East Islip, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
**As of December 18, 2024, all bids received for General Contractor Services for this project be rejected. The Board of Education hereby rejects all bids submitted for Maintenance Garage Renovation at JFK Elementary School. Renovate existing Maintenance Building at JF Kennedy Elementary School. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the EAST ISLIP UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute 's may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interests of the School District. A Performance and Payment bond will be required for the work. Each shall be in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. Requests for information (RFI) will only be received in writing or electronically. Deadline for RFIs will be 12:00 pm on Friday, November 8, 2024. Any question or comment received after this time will not be answered. All RFI responses will be issued through written addendum.
