Sealed proposals are invited for switchboard upgrades and interior renovations at Timber Point Elementary School, covering general construction, HVAC, and electrical work. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form as required by the specifications and enclosed in sealed opaque envelopes clearly marked with the job name and bidder's information. Each proposal must include a certified check or bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Certification of the bonding company is required. Bidders must agree to hold their bid prices for forty-five (45) days after the bid opening. The contract award will go to the lowest qualified bidder who meets the experience, technical, and budget requirements. The Board reserves the right to reject any bids, waive informality, and accept the bid that serves the best interests of the School District. Hard copies and electronic sets of bid documents are available for a fee, and only documents obtained via the designated plan room will be considered official. All addenda will be distributed to registered plan holders. Although attendance is not mandatory, a pre-bid meeting and walk-through are highly recommended for all potential bidders. The School District will not be responsible for bids opened prematurely due to missing information on the envelope or for delay in mail handling or improper delivery.
