The WRF's are operated and maintained by Veolia Water Milwaukee (VWM) under contract to MMSD. There is a machine shop at the JI WRF in the Maintenance Building Facility 280, and one at the SS WRF in Maintenance Building Facility 380. Existing Machine Shop equipment at the JI WRF and the SS WRF that is to be removed and disposed of by this project is described in Section A. Some of the equipment to be removed is to be replaced and some is not, as described in Section A. There is also one new piece of equipment to be provided at the JI WRF that does not currently exist, as described in Section A. The Contractor may dispose of old equipment by any legal means, but if he chooses to resell it for reuse, there is no warranty or ongoing responsibility for it for MMSD or Veolia.
