The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualifications (“RFPQ”) is to invite interested Electrical Service Contractors (“Respondents”) to submit Responses indicating their interest in and qualifications for the Automatic Transfer Switches Replacement Project for the Queens Park Care Center (F550-00). Based on these Responses, Fraser Health Authority (“Authority”) intends to select, in accordance with the terms of this RFPQ, a short-list of Respondents will be invited to participate in the next stage of the Construction Tender process. The Project generally consists of the replacement of two (2) existing obsolete automatic transfer switches (ATSs) rated 800 A each with two new units. In addition the scope of work includes updating the existing Master Control Panel (MCP) programming to control the new ATSs. The Contractor for this Project shall employ the existing Essential System equipment supplier IEM Industrial Electrical Mfg. to provide the new ATSs and make the modifications to the MCP. The contract for this Project will include a Cash Allowance to cover the Contractor’s cost to have IEM to supply the ATSs and perform the MCP modifications. The Contractor’s scope of work for this Project includes” Contract with IEM for their scope of work Prepare and submit Work Plans Disconnect and remove the existing ATSs from their enclosures Install the new open frame ATSs in the existing enclosures Reconnect the existing power wiring to the new ATSs Remove and replace the existing control wiring from the MCP to the ATSs Update the existing Arc Flash study Coordinate the Project work with the Owner and IEM Assist in the Testing and commissioning Documents can be obtained from https://fraserhealth.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities
