The Rural Municipality of Cote No. 271 is accepting tenders for gravel crushing and stockpiling for 2024-2025. 60,000 yards of road gravel will be crushed within two pits. The pits are located at: NE 01-32-33 W1 (20,000 yards 3/4 inch and 10,000 yards 1 1/2 inch) and NE 36-28-30 W1 (20,000 yards 3/4 inch and 10,000 yards 1 1/2 inch). It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure that their quotation is complete upon submission. Any tender may be rejected which is incomplete or obscure. Late tenders and/or changes to the tender after submission will not be accepted. Tenders received after the closing time and date will not be considered. Oral and telephone tenders will not be accepted. Tenders will be reviewed on November 6, 2024 and the successful candidate will be notified thereafter by a letter. A bidder may, without prejudice to himself, withdraw his tender at any time up to 9:00 a.m. on November 6, 2024. The Municipality reserves the right to refuse to accept any or all tenders, and is under no obligation to accept the lowest priced tender. The Municipality reserves the right to cancel the acceptance of any tender at any time before execution of the contract by all parties without any liability against the Municipality. Time will be of the essence of the Contract made with the successful bidder and the contractor will be required to comply strictly with the dates specified, subject to the terms of the contract. It is the responsibility of the contractor to manage the pit and leave it in a clean state. Pit inspections may be requested by the municipality. 10% of the total tender will be held back and paid after proven job completion and approval of Council. If your signed tender is accepted by the Council of the R.M. of Cote No. 271, the submitted tender will become a binding contract. Crushing needs to be completed by April 30, 2025 in the two pits.
