Ned Capacity Building Technical Assistance 2025 Cd. Review the organization capacity assessments by the previous capacity building consultant, PACE, for three Capacity Building Organizations (CBOs) Assess the capacity for one organization that is entering the program. The assessment should at least cover: Leadership of Staff Board Governance Program Management Fundraising Financial Management Community Engagement Provide at least four workshops to improve skills that will improve the organization's capacity These workshops should bring together all of the CBOs in a virtual or in-person setting The City has a preference on workshops that address: Program Evaluation Fundraising Financial Management Board Development Utilize the CBO assessments and direct feedback to inform these workshops Share workshop materials with CBOs and recommend next steps in their work The expected term length for this professional service agreement is January 1st, 2025 - December 31st, 2025 Late proposals will not be accepted or considered. Respondents should allow enough time to register company on the City's e-Procurement Portal, search the solicitation they wish to respond to and complete the submission process online before the deadline. The City of Pittsburgh shall not be responsible for proposals delivered to a person or location other than that specified herein. All submittals, whether selected or rejected, shall become the property of the City of Pittsburgh and will not be returned. All costs associated with proposal preparation shall be borne by the applicant. Contract Award:November / December 2024 The Office of Management and Budget Community Development Division is Soliciting bids for NED Capacity Building Technical Assistance (CD). The Office of Management and Budget Community Development Division is seeking technical assistance to be offered to small nonprofits as a component of the Neighborhood Economic Development (NED) Capacity Building Grant. NED grants are made available to local nonprofits doing economic development work in specific City of Pittsburgh neighborhoods. A $50,000 Capacity Building grant is awarded to one small organization per year, renewable for up to four years. Along with the Capacity Building award, organizations will be offered technical assistance tailored to the grantee's need, determined during initial assessments. No matter the specific needs of the nonprofit, the ultimate goal of the Capacity Building grant is to increase the ability of the organization to do economic development work in their service area. As of 2024, there are three organizations currently receiving Capacity Building support: Manchester Citizens Corporation, Carrick Community Council and Charles Street Area Corporation. In 2025, Manchester Citizens Corporation will be entering their fourth and final year of the Capacity Building program, Carrick Community Council will be entering its third year, Charles Street Area Corporation will be entering its second year. There will be a fourth organization selected for the Capacity Building program in October and they will begin receiving funding January 2025.
