The work will consist of clearing and grubbing approximately 4.9 AC of Pipemakers Canal right of way, grading, cleaning and bank stabilization associated with maintaining and improving 2,900 LF of existing drainage channel, installing approximately 272 LF of HDPE stormwater pipe with flared end sections and installing and maintaining associated erosion control measures. The Contractor shall be required to conform to all key requirements of the City's Individual Wetlands Impact Permit issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The Contractor shall also give a credit to the City of Pooler for the revenue generated from timbering the property. Location The project area is located downstream (east) of Pooler Parkway. All work will occur within designated canal right of way and construction easements. City of Pooler reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any and all bids, to evaluate bids, to accept portions of any bids and to accept any bid, which in its opinion, may be in the best interest of the City of Pooler and reserves the right to add to or delete from the contract after the contract has been awarded. Bidders must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of municipal work experience in drainage improvements and canal maintenance in addition to other requirements.
